Testing and Basketball

Monday & Tuesday students will be benchmark testing. The rest of the week students will continue competing in different stages of basketball.

This week students will continue learning the basic skills of dribbling, passing and shooting. Students will be competing in different mini skill games against other students.

Wednesday is physical fitness day, the students will be timed in the mile run.

This week students will participate in a dodge ball tournament, where they will get the chance to compete against other students. Mid week is fitness day, where the students will run the mile in which they will be timed in.

This week students will be introduced to the basic skills and rules of kickball.  Mid-week is fitness day, where students will run the mile in which they should improve their time in as each week goes.

This week the students are going to continue with volleyball. Students will be able to select teams as to where they will compete in a tournament play against other teams. Mid-week we will be going to the track for the mile run, which will be timed and will need to be completed in under 15 minutes.




REMINDER PARENTS:

Wednesday will be report card night at Peter Piper Pizza from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Fitness Gram

This week students will take the state recommended fitness gram, which includes height, weight, push-ups, sit-ups, flexibility and a mile run. This fitness gram is not for a grade, the state requires this fitness gram to be able to see where the students are when it comes to physical education.

Volleyball

This week students will continue working on basic volleyball skills( bumping, setting and serving). At the end of the week students will compete against each other in different skill sets.

Engage in moderate to vigorous activity. Practice basic volleyball skills (serving, passing, setting) Enjoying being physically active.


This week students will be introduced to the sport of volleyball, where basic skills will be taught and practiced on. Also students will learn the rules, regulations, and court dimensions. Mid-week students will have 15 minutes to complete a mile run.

Enjoy being physically active

Practice sports, manipulative, and loco-motor skills. Develop physical fitness through non-elimination games. Enjoy being physically active.




This week the students will be going through some circuit training activities (jump rope, agility drills, and weight training) Mid week, we will be taking the students to the track where they will be timed in the mile run and encouraged to complete the mile in under 15 minutes. Friday is recreational day, where students have the choice of a sport to stay active throughout the class.
